Information Concerning the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Decision

In light of the recent antitrust ruling involving the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), we wish to assure our students that our educational content remains up-to-date and relevant. Also, there are no questions on the school exam or the state examination relating to becoming a REALTOR®, their association, or membership.

It is important to distinguish between a real estate agent and a REALTOR®: while all REALTORS® are real estate agents, not all agents are REALTORS®. The distinction lies in the membership with NAR and adherence to its code of ethics.

The decision itself centers on practices deemed by the court as anti-competitive, affecting how real estate listings are shared and how real estate commissions are structured. While the full implications of this ruling on the industry are yet to be seen, one thing remains clear: the essential role of knowledgeable professionals in guiding clients through the complexities of buying and selling real estate has never been more critical. There will always be a need for licensees and there is no better time to choose this career and get a head start in our lucrative and exciting industry.

We believe in the power of education and the unchanging need for skilled individuals who can navigate these waters, ensuring the public continues to receive the highest level of service and support. As we move forward, we are committed to keeping you informed and prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities this decision may bring.
